A bike trip between Spello, Assisi and the Sagrantino road is a way to discover Umbria by bike, pedaling immersed in the history, culture and beauty of this land.
You will cross enchanting natural landscapes, you will breathe the spirituality of Assisi, you will be amazed by works of art by great masters such as Giotto, Cimabue, Lorenzetti and Pinturicchio. You will definitely not miss the food experience! In fact, this territory offers a varied selection of typical products that we cannot fail to taste! Your Meeting Point will be Rome’s Termini Station. Here you will meet the rest of the group and your guide who will be with you for the entire duration of this fascinating journey!
After about 2 hours by train, we arrive in Foligno, where a shuttle is waiting to take us to the selected Bike Hotel.
In the afternoon there will be a briefing with the local guide who will explain the itinerary program and the functionality of the e-bikes.
The E-bike tour of the Umbrian Valley begins in the direction of Spello, the village famous for its flower displays and among “the most beautiful in Italy”, which preserves ancient remains such as the Roman Amphitheater and the Villa of Mosaics, in addition to the beautiful historic center, full of churches, palaces and works of art.
The itinerary continues towards Assisi, birthplace of Saint Francis, which can be reached by cycling around Mount Subasio, which dominates the valley with its imposing mass.
Cycling through the dense vegetation of the Monte Subasio Park and small villages created from ancient castles you then arrive in Assisi, the city of peace, which will enchant you with its historic centre, a world heritage site, for its beauty and spirituality.
Conclude your trip today with a taste of the typical products of the area, such as wine, oil, cheese and desserts.
Return towards Foligno, passing through the Via degli Ulivi.
Departure for Montefalco, traveling along a beautiful network of white and panoramic roads in the Umbrian countryside, part of the “La Strada del Sagrantino” route.
Arrival in the historic center and possibility of a short visit to the village characterized by ancient walls, churches, ancient buildings and viewpoints which have given the city of Montefalco the nickname of “railway of Umbria”. From here we will go to a cellar for a wine tasting accompanied by typical products. At the end we will continue towards Bevagna, an ancient medieval village, where, passing the surrounding walls, you can appreciate the historic center with its important buildings, remains of Roman temples and baths, churches and monasteries.
Afterwards, return to Foligno for a shower and transfer to the train station.
Return to Rome in the evening.

Discovering the area by bicycle is an ecological and responsible way of travelling, which respects the environment and cultural heritage.
Not polluting, however, means much more: leave no trace of your passage, don’t leave waste.
We may also visit places of worship, so please wear appropriate clothing.
We will cross green areas and archaeological sites, do not take objects, damage plants or disturb animals to keep the protected territory unaltered.
Resources are precious for the whole planet: don’t waste water and energy.
The accommodation facilities have internal regulations that we ask you to respect to guarantee the efficiency of services for all guests.
- Departure is guaranteed upon reaching the minimum number of 6 participants. If this does not happen, you can change your trip or ask us for a full refund of the amount paid.
- For organizational reasons, the hotel could accommodate the participants in another connected structure, with equal treatment. Some accommodation facilities may request a credit card at check-in as a guarantee for any consumption or extra services (minibar, spa entrances,…). The card is unlocked at check out.
- The itinerary may undergo changes before and/or during the holiday for organizational reasons, climatic conditions (intended exclusively for strong thunderstorms and not drizzle) or for provisions of the local authorities. No refund will be provided for changes or failure to carry out the program due to the causes mentioned above. In the event of closures that cannot be foreseen at the time of publication of the program, we will replace the scheduled visit with other places of interest.
- We look forward to seeing you in good shape to tackle this itinerary: carefully check the level of difficulty and the characteristics of the route, and ask us for help in case of doubts. It is essential to know how to ride a bicycle with a minimum of experience in using it. People deemed by our guide to be unsuitable for the trip, or with physical problems that preclude the trip safely, will not be admitted to the group. There will be no refund for non-ELIGIBLE people.
- Please notify us any allergies, intolerances or eating habits (e.g. vegetarian, vegan diet…). We will communicate your request to the facility. To be safe, bring a small supply of special foods (e.g. gluten-free) with you.
- Remember to check out in the morning, immediately after breakfast, so as not to leave any documents requested during check-in at the hotel. In fact, at the end of the trip you will not return to your room, your luggage will be transported by our transfer service directly to the rental point (meeting point).
- The luggage transfer service included in the package includes only and exclusively one small/medium-sized trolley per person. Any other additional baggage can be transported upon prior request and extra payment.
- Remember to charge the E-Bike battery overnight so you have all the levels for pedaling the following day.
